L-PROLINE BASED ALKYLMETHYLIMIDAZOLIUM IONIC LIQUIDS [CNMIM][PRO]: SYNTHESIS AND SOME PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF THEIR AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
A modification of synthesis of amino acid ionic liquids (AAILs) based on 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium cation and L-prolinate anion [Cnmim][Pro] (n = 4, 8, 12) was developed. The structures of the AAILs based on prolinate were confirmed by 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopies. Densities and refractive indices of aqueous solutions of these AAILs in the concentration range 0-97 wt % (weight percents) were measured at temperature 298.15 K. It has been found that in the field of high AAIL concentrations the dependence of the density value on the AAIL mole fraction for binary water + [Cnmim][Pro] solutions is nonlinear.
