The association of heterocyclic dye molecules in aqueous solution has been studied by means of spectrophotometry. The absorption spectrum of dye mixture has been decomposed onto individual components, which position indicates the shift of the heterocomplex spectrum relative to the absorption bands of the ligand monomers. The quantitative information about the structure of heterocomplex has been obtained according to the results of decomposition of experimental spectrum into the components using quantum mechanical theory.
