GENERALIZED ‘UP-SCALED’ MODEL OF COMPLEXATION BETWEEN C60 FULLERENE AND ANTIBIOTIC DOXORUBICIN
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Previously published ‘up-scaled’ model of complexation in ‘C60 fullerene - Ligand’ system was critically analyzed. The equations of the generalized ‘up-scaled’ model accounting for the polydispersity of the mixture were derived. The approximation of the published experimental data of spectrophotometric titration in the ‘C60 fullerene - Doxorubicin’ system was carried out. The generalized model fits the minimum in the titration curve and gives a satisfactory quantitative evaluation of the complexation process. The model can be used in different studies of C60 fullerene as a drug delivery system to damaged cells.
