THE ESTIMATION OF THE STATE OF GOLUBAYA BAY ON MICROBIOLOGICAL CRITERIA DURING THE SUMMER
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The distribution and number of heterotrophic bacteria of periphyton and sea water in the Golubaya Bay (Sevastopol, Black sea) were investigated. It was shown that the number of bacteria in sea water on 2-3 orders lower than in the periphyton. It was established that the Golubaya Bay is not exposed of chronic oil pollution. The phenol-oxidizing bacteria in seawater were not detected. The existence of heterotrophic, lipolytic and amylolytic microorganisms evidence of organic contaminants in water. Measures to improve the quality of sea water in the area of Golubaya Bay were proposed.
