The major elements involved in instrumental and methodical developments for biological tissue studying by means the structural biology methods based on using synchrotron radiation (SR) from VEPP-3 and Siberia-2 storage rings from two Russian centres of collective using - in the Siberian and Moscow regions are considered. Our basic concern is to study mechanisms of structural and functional stability of native and transformed human and animal tissues under various physicochemical influences. Possibilities of produced equipment and methods, as well as the experimental data on biological polymers having different degrees of order at the molecular or nanoscale level are presented.
